The protagonist is seriously injured, but somehow manages to survive. However, he loses his eyesight due to the aftereffects of his injuries. His girlfriend, Yamato, stands by him and encourages him, saying that he will recover if he has corneal surgery. More than a year after the accident, the transplant surgery was finally decided. The surgery is a success, and the hero returns home with his sight restored, but Yamato is nowhere to be found...

He is a working man who works for a local company. He and the main character were childhood friends, and started dating and living together when he became a working adult.
